• Wood: wooden pergolas are very decorative, although wood is a material that requires good maintenance to resist humidity and sun exposure. • Aluminum: it's one of the most common materials used in pergola manufacturing. It's very lightweight, resists both humidity and sun rays perfectly, and is manufactured in many different finishes. Additionally, all types of coverings (canvas, polycarbonate, etc.) and enclosures can be adapted to it. An added advantage is that maintenance is very simple. The price varies depending on the finish and type of covering. A pergola with a retractable canvas awning measuring 8x5 m costs around 1,500 € and with adjustable slats can exceed 5,000 €.
• PVC: it's a material that comes in many finishes, is very lightweight, doesn't lose its properties in rain or humidity, and its price is lower than other materials. Roofs can also be adapted to it, made of this same material or others (polycarbonate, glass, etc.). The price will depend on the finish and type of covering. At 3.5x3.5 m, a wall-mounted PVC pergola would start from around 600 €.
• Steel: it's an especially resistant material that doesn't rust and is commonly used in large pergolas or structures that need to support additional weight (bioclimatic pergolas or those with tempered glass and polycarbonate mobile roofs). Regarding price, at 3x3 m with a polyester sliding awning pergola, the price would start from 1,500 €.

Pergola structures are manufactured in materials that resist weather conditions, impacts, and deterioration over time without problems: aluminum, steel, iron, PVC, and treated wood. With proper anchoring and minimal maintenance, they'll remain in perfect condition for years.

• Awnings and canvas: can be fixed or retractable and in different fabric types and finishes. The most common are acrylic, which offer good resistance and protection against sun rays. The price will depend on the finish, but on average it can start from 20 €/m².
• Polycarbonate panels: protect against sun rays while allowing light to pass through, as it's translucent. It's also a lightweight and very flexible material. The price starts from around 28 €/m².
• Laminated glass: it's resistant and, unlike polycarbonate, transparent. In pergolas, it's common to install mobile coverings of this material, which allow the top to remain completely open. It's more expensive than polycarbonate; its price can reach 60 €/m².
